It's Official

Well it's official the for sale sign went up this morning, we are definately on the market for selling our house. On Tuesday we were invaded by hurricane real estate. We spent days getting the house looking just right so that the land agents could see the place. I was feeling pretty good about things until the hurricane hit at 10:50am. If anyone has ever sold house you will know what I mean. About 30, yes 30 agents descended on your house, they took a quick look around about 1 - 2minutes and then they were gone. All that hardwork for less than the time it would take to boil the jug. Oh my god I was left standing there in stunned silence and feeling alttle dazed as if it had all been some wierd dream (and I hadn't even had a drink). I suppose if it is going to help sell the house then it is all good, but be warned if anyone is thinking of selling be prepared for the hurricane.

What were we thinking???

Well this week we decided to put our wee house on the market. What were we thinking? Trying to pack with three pint sized helpers is just insane. Everytime something goes into the box it has to be inspected and then played with before being left in another room, to be descovered once the box has been closed and stacked away. In the 6 years that we have been here we have collected/ hoarded away some treasures but mainly it's just crap that could should have been thrown out years ago.
We built our little home 6 years ago and I am having a really hard time letting go. Having spent many hours cleaning, tidying and decorating my little home I have become quite attached and if it wasn't for the fact that we have simply outgrown the house we would probably still be here. I guess it's on to start our new adventure ....where ever that might be. Will keep you posted.

A Bit About The Tribe

Hi to everyone out there who may be interested in our little family. I thought I would start off with a little bit of history for everyone to catch up on. I promise it won't take long. We are a very happy family of 5. Three kiddies and Mum and Dad, although sometimes I wonder who the parents are, from Auckland in New Zealand. We were very fortunate to be blessed with three little treasures. We hadn't planned however on them arriving quite so quickly. Our son Conor arrived after years of heartache then was quickly followed by our daughter Brialey 13 months later. We thought that our family was complete but someone had other plans and 16 months later our third and final addition came into our lives. Another boy who we named Ethan, three wee ones under 2 and a half we must have been mad although it has been busy and constant we have managed to survive with all our hair and no addictions. And as I sit here and look outside at the three of them playing together happily I am reminded that all the sleepless nights and dirty nappies are worth every second. So that is alittle about us just to get us started I hope you enjoy the next installments and look forward to reading your comments.
